Fodder Faces

Sometimes, when I see obituaries with a photo of the person who passed away when they were young. They have beautiful and interesting faces. So I save them. Then I adjust them a bit and print to use later in my collage work.

I almost pulled my own hair out with my Photoshop issues, but I managed to get what I wanted. Now, I can "fussy cut" them out while I watch a football game in which I have almost no interest.

Shower Invitation

It was a beautiful day and while I was outside, painting a patio table, I noticed the board that Bill set up for me as a work table. It was the perfect background for the photo I had in mind for my cousin's wedding shower invitation. So I cleaned up my paintbrush, gathered the little Polaroids I had taken while wedding dress shopping with her, and cut a few flowers from my yard. Once I had the photos I wanted. I decided to keep going. I have the invitation ready, no last minute panic on this one. Now I just need the actual date and place and it will be ready to go to the printer.

Basket Tags

We are making a basket for the silent auction at the Bellwether Bon Temps fundraiser for the Vistula Heritage Foundation, It promises to be a great evening for a good cause and there are tickets available.  Our basket needed and a tag and a card...yes, I know, not much of an effort but the weather is warming up and I will be back at my bench in no time.

Rush Job

I had a half hour to create and print an insert for a baby shower invitation...no time to fuss over fonts or write poetry. I stole the poem online and gave myself five minutes to choose fonts. Not bad, considering....

Promoting a Show

I created a FB event for an upcoming show I'm doing...the 2018 Glass City Para-Con. I would really rather have worked on my bird necklaces. But this show will be fun, especially if some of my jewelry peeps are there.

Computer Graphics

I haven't done this for awhile; I am working on an event program for a friend. I am trying very hard to work quickly and not be obsessive. I tend to make these projects much more time consuming than they need to be.

Digital Too

I created an invitation a few weeks ago....never posted it. I decided to take credit for this make as well.

Digital Making Stuff

I've been asked to make another invitation and I've got a good start now...and I'm pretty sure the birthday girl won't see this.

Making Invitations

Today, I made some invitations for a surprise party...these will go out to the non-Facebook users among us. Now I need to pass them off to be addressed and mailed.

And Open for Business

I added a couple more things to my Etsy shop and officially announced it on Facebook. Why is this so difficult for me?....anyway...find my Spare Parts Jewelry at OneSeedyRoom on Etsy!

Take note that there is a "Shop Now" button on my Spare Parts Facebook page.  I cannot believe I figured that out...and it actually works!

Etsy Shop Construction

I've spent the last couple of days muddling my way through the construction of an Etsy Shop. Nothing listed yet but it's on it's way.  I've also gotten distracted by my canvas and moved over to that table to dab a bit at it.

New Cards

After agonizing over my jewelry cards, and my printer's sudden refusal to print on my heavier cardstock, and buying a new printer after destroying mine in an effort to force it to print on my cardstock, and ordering various weights of cardstock, I decided it would be easier to have my jewelry tags and cards professionally printed. So today, I bit the bullet and opened my new PhotoShop CC to design my cards. (I was forced to abandon my outdated version of PhotoShop by Windows 10...so I learned new stuff while I was working.)

So, yes, I am getting used to this oh so very up to date PhotoShop CC and the fact that I am subscribing to it rather than owning it.  And I am going to have really nice jewelry cards...why didn't I think of all of this sooner?

Graphic Work

I spent the last few days working on the big necklace. Now that I am getting closer to finishing, I have some decisions to make. Today, I put off those decisions and worked on the birthday invitation postcard I promised and then procrastinated.  Not only did I start and finish it today, but I uploaded it to the print company and it is ready to go.

Tags and Bagging

I spent the last hour or so completely frustrated....attempting to print my tags. I used to have no problems at all with this printer and this card stock, and now I cannot get the paper to feed and print...unless I keep trying over and over and over. Then, every fifth or sixth or tenth or eleventh attempt...viola!

I may try to clean the rollers tomorrow...method I just read about online. But I am waiting until tomorrow as my head may implode and I still have jewelry to tag.

Business Cards Done and Uploaded

Tonight, I finished the business cards and uploaded the files to the printer. I hate doing business cards because the possibilities seem endless and I second guess whatever I've done. But I finally declared them finished and I've moved on.

Making Bows

I really wanted to finish the necklace I started yesterday, but since my ribbon arrived, I made bows for my gifts.

I started a business card.
