Framing, Stickers. and More Collage

I got six of my collages framed and boxed up and labeled.  They are ready to be gift wrapped and gifted. I am beyond excited. I'm already ordering more frames.

I cannot pass my work table without stopping to make a collage square.

And, I saw this done by a fellow Fodder School student and tried it. After an experimental sheet, I took a stab at making some stickers for a friend to decorate party favor jars of jam.

I've made several sheets. She specified the colors. Not sure if she'll like them but I do. 

Completed Bird

My commissioned bird is done and ready to be boxed up and gifted. I did manage to find a spot for a tiny pink ribbon...wanted to keep it bird-y and not cancer-y. 

 

November Project: Diorama

I really didn't plan on doing the diorama project.  Honestly, I wasn't impressed with the lesson and the sample...just did not interest me.

But, it's only the second month of the class and I didn't want to skip a lesson so early in the school, so I made one.

No planning, no measuring...I just jumped in and started. It's a bit wonky but in a good way. I was really pleased with what I did. I like the outside better than the inside...the interior got a little greeting card-y. But since I was able to incorporate bits of all of the techniques that I learned from this month's fodder lesson, I'm considering it a success.

And I've been commissioned to do a bird box, so I got started on that.

Jewelry Repair

I rarely...no, I NEVER do jewelry repairs and  when a friend asked about this watch/bracelet thing, I meant to say no. I offered a suggestion of a chain, and then I was curious. I really wanted to see how it would look. And then,  I did it. And I have to admit, it gave me a sense of satisfaction. I made it wearable again and it is kind of cute.

Computer Graphics

I haven't done this for awhile; I am working on an event program for a friend. I am trying very hard to work quickly and not be obsessive. I tend to make these projects much more time consuming than they need to be.

Special Demand

Because Bonnie demanded disco ball earrings for a party, I made disco ball earrings, with her hanging over my shoulder attempting to tell me how to do it. Sometimes making stuff isn't quite as much fun as it usually is.

Custom Earrings

A potential Etsy customer asked if I could make a specific pair of earrings but with one long fuse and one short fuse.  I have played with asymmetry before but as soon as it was requested, I felt all... procrastinate-y.  But not only did I make some really cool earrings today,  but I also sent photos to the customer and I created and saved an Etsy listing.  Yay me!
