Stickers

I designed a sticker to slap onto the backs of my birds before I donate them to the Nature's Nursery fundraiser. I actually gave myself a time limit so I wouldn't stretch the project out into weeks. It happens when I go down that rabbit hole of fonts. 

They came today and I love them!

 

Listing and Finishing

I was intending to work on some jewelry today, but ended up getting distracted. Instead, I managed to add a listing to my Etsy shop, One Seedy Room and I added the magnets and tags to my stuff for #justoneseedyroom.  Now, I need a little break. 

   

I would get a lot more jewelry added to my shop if I wouldn't fret over the photos. I mean, I can fret a little but not so much that it makes listing so painful.

 

 

And, honestly, I am loving these little magnets so much that I'll have trouble leaving them for others to find.

New Etsy Listings and Some Earrings

I spent five hours listing five pieces in my Etsy shop today.  Okay, I did take a break to do some weeding in the yard. But it seemed like an eternity on the laptop. After that, I had to go out to the bench and make something just to get away from computer monitors and TV.

Promoting a Show

I created a FB event for an upcoming show I'm doing...the 2018 Glass City Para-Con. I would really rather have worked on my bird necklaces. But this show will be fun, especially if some of my jewelry peeps are there.

New Etsy Listings

I spent waaaaay too much time on Saturday working on a few new Etsy listings. If you knew how much effort went into these, you'd throw me a bone and visit my shop...One Seedy Room. 

The Last Days of Disco Balls

Bon Bon found the last of her disco ball garland..she forgot she had it. So she needed all of it made into earrings...by Friday. They are finished with time to spare and I reasoned that I may as well put them on my jewelry cards. After all, any publicity is good publicity, right?

But this was my big news...several of my pieces have been featured in the summer issue of Jewelry Affaire! I am beyond excited. And I have fantasized that many people will be visiting One Seedy Room on Etsy so in the few weeks before the magazine comes out, I am planning to get a few more pieces listed.

I was contacted by an art director for a national jewelry magazine....she asked me to submit some pieces for possible publication in their next issue. So....here we go! Wish me luck!

Listings and Another Bird

I've spent a huge amount of time in the last three days adding jewelry to my Etsy shop, One Seedy Room.  I now have 24 items! Two dozen! Yay me! I decided not to over think it and be mired in the haze of tags and key words, etc. I am just taking photos and adding jewelry. I feel free to create, and add without worry now!

Packing and Shipping

This job is always more time consuming than I think it's going to be. I have spent the last two days tagging and packing and listing and pricing, and I am finally ready to head to the post office.

Making and Listing

I made a necklace today and then listed it in my Etsy shop: OneSeedyRoom. I added a listing yesterday, too. Now I have to figure out how to promote it...something at which I'm not very good or comfortable.

I added a couple more things to my Etsy shop and officially announced it on Facebook. Why is this so difficult for me?....anyway...find my Spare Parts Jewelry at OneSeedyRoom on Etsy!

Etsy Shop Construction

I've spent the last couple of days muddling my way through the construction of an Etsy Shop. Nothing listed yet but it's on it's way.  I've also gotten distracted by my canvas and moved over to that table to dab a bit at it.

New Cards

After agonizing over my jewelry cards, and my printer's sudden refusal to print on my heavier cardstock, and buying a new printer after destroying mine in an effort to force it to print on my cardstock, and ordering various weights of cardstock, I decided it would be easier to have my jewelry tags and cards professionally printed. So today, I bit the bullet and opened my new PhotoShop CC to design my cards. (I was forced to abandon my outdated version of PhotoShop by Windows 10...so I learned new stuff while I was working.)

So, yes, I am getting used to this oh so very up to date PhotoShop CC and the fact that I am subscribing to it rather than owning it.  And I am going to have really nice jewelry cards...why didn't I think of all of this sooner?

A Couple of Days

Monday, I went as a guest of my friends Judy and Leigh to a meeting of the Michigan Association of Calligraphers. We made weathergrams....

 

Today, I forced myself to make earring cards for the WAVE Festival on Saturday. This has become an exercise in frustration as I an forcing my printer to it's very edge as far as printing on weighty card stock. I finally ordered some flimsier stuff as backup. 

Tags and Cards

I made some jewelry tags and cards today....wanted to make more but then I managed to break my printer. After ordering a new printer, I marched my rainy day achy new knees to the basement for some exercise.

Tags and Bagging

I spent the last hour or so completely frustrated....attempting to print my tags. I used to have no problems at all with this printer and this card stock, and now I cannot get the paper to feed and print...unless I keep trying over and over and over. Then, every fifth or sixth or tenth or eleventh attempt...viola!

I may try to clean the rollers tomorrow...method I just read about online. But I am waiting until tomorrow as my head may implode and I still have jewelry to tag.
