July Fodder Continued...

I made a stash of tokens and paper dolls...

And I made some hand sewn tokens...

And then I kind of wanted to wear them, so I added some to a knotty scarf I bought last year at an art fair. (It always felt like it needed something.)

I think I have enough left for the July Fodder School book project.

A Few More Days

I've passed the half way point of the 100 Day Project.

I bought a bottle of wine a while back, chosen because I liked the label, and the cork made me just as happy. So I made myself a necklace.

And today, after reading that 60s fashion icon Mary Quant had passed away, I made a stamp in her flower power honor. Rest in peace, Mary Quant.

Jewelry Day

I felt like hammering and bending and drilling so I made a necklace.

Finally Made Something

It's the day after my birthday and yesterday was so fun...today was bound to be bit of a downer. I tried to cheer myself up by making a necklace. I'm thinking it didn't work. I may get started on another bird.

A Necklace and a Few Papers

I made a stone necklace today. I have a few more of these drilled river stones and this was calling to me today....

I've also been trying to prep some papers for that upcoming art day.

Stone Necklace

I drilled stones a while back and today I made a couple into a necklace.

Busy Day

I wrote my haiku 74/100. I actually love this one...almost as munch as the dandelion one form yesterday.

I finished my collage using one of my earlier haiku. Still wondering if it looks overworked.

Then, I took the Iron Man necklace out to the bench for some reworking as it failed it's test drive awhile back.

And finally, I drilled some holes in the Alaskan river stones that I recently acquired. I should've put something in the photo for scale. They are about an inch to an inch and a half long.

Necklace with Resin Pendant

I had a bag of buttons and other assorted parts to take to the garage, and once I got out there, I stayed. I was only going to get a start on one of the resin pieces, but once that happened I just kept going. Now, I have to help get Christmas stuff out of the attic.

Resin Pour Completed

I haven't used resin in so long that my supply of  hardener was oxidized to an amber color. After doing a bit of research, I learned that the resin would still harden but would be a golden, amber color. I decided to give it a try and I actually like it with the patina of these pieces. I also dropped an eyeball in a couple of them. Jury is still out on those. But all in all, they came out beautifully.

Prepping Parts

I had done some wiring and attaching with these little tins and they have been getting in my way on my bench for months. Finally, today, I brought them in and added some of my own little mixed media images to them. I used some of Vinnie, so I had to stop and weep for a bit. This was a great way to keep myself from compulsively checking my phone for election updates.

Now, they are almost ready for resin.

Ironman Necklace

I snagged this little man made of iron at an estate sale last week. I made him into a necklace today. I had to get it done before I misplaced him.

Cats Are Tools

Working my way through the small stash of cat tools I scored a few weeks ago. This is a little more elaborate cat necklace.

Earrings and a Cat

Just when I think my anxiety level cannot get any higher, it does. I headed to the bench tofay to see if I could feel a little better. I made some earrings, and then another cat tool necklace. I think I need more time at the bench...a lot more time.

Dogs Are Tools Necklace

I had one dog multipurpose tool, and left it laying on the table...for weeks. Yes, we are cat people, but today, I thought, "Dogs can be necklaces too." So I made it into a necklace.

Earrings and a Cat Tool

I made another cat tool necklace today. I played with a bit of color on this one. And since I've had the brass hex nuts just waiting for me to do something, I made earrings too.

Another Cat Tool

Since I hit the mother lode of cat tools, I thought I should get started on necklaces. I made one today, even after I scalded my thumb with boiling water....yes, and it really hurts.

I am starting to feel a pull to draw or paint or some thing. Now, I'm trying to decide if I want to commit to drawing every day. In school, I was really good. But it was such a competitive atmosphere that drawing became not fun, I need to get over that.

Cat Tool

Bill brought a multipurpose tool for me so I made it into a necklace. I love this!

Finished!

I finished the necklace today. I had to make a couple of changes to get it to hang nicely.

A Little More Work

I worked a bit more on the necklace I started yesterday but once Bill started running his deafening leaf blower, my anxiety got the better of me and I headed for the house.

Necklace in Progress

I really needed to do something creative today. I am still feeling out of sorts. Maybe I should go back out and finish this.
