The Big Finish, Earrings, and a Collage

My 100 Day Project is complete.  I wanted to finish this project with something fun and then our fifteen year old cat died and I was deflated. Here is my final haiku...#100. It makes me cry.

I lost my Monte and my heart is broken. I made a collage in an attempt to make myself feel better. I finished it this morning.  I love this sentiment and intend to rework this image as it looks a little greeting card-y to me. 

 

And tonight, I made some earrings. Now, I am thinking I forgot to unplug my soldering iron.

 I made earrings today. And after posting a photo on FB, I ended up with a sweet trade...I'm sending off a pair of earrings and getting one of a friend's cool wrapped necklaces. I am so excited!

 I loved the assembly of the light bulb earrings this week. I couldn't wait to get back out to my bench and make another pair.

 I am loving these little trapeze hangers!

 And I am in love with these tulips as well. I wish they were in  my garden.

 

And I almost forgot...I signed up for a DIY cast glass workshop at the Toledo Museum of Art. They sent me this blob of clay and I was supposed to press stuff and carve into it...I panicked and became paralyzed for ideas. As I didn't want to miss the timeline, I pressed in a few light bulbs...which really are ideas, aren't they? 

Now, I have to let it dry and sent it back to the museum. And they will cast it for me! Not really DIY as they are doing the actual work, but it sounded fun.

And I finished the collage today. I like the idea of this one but I need to rework it...cleaner, or bigger, or both. I used Haiku #85.

 

Haiku and a Work in Progress

 I wrote two more haiku...#84 and #85. I am closing in on this 100 Day Project. 

 

I started another small collage. I'm planning on using my last haiku, #85, for this one. But I don't want to think too much lest I overwork it.

 

Earrings, More Poetry, and a Collage

 I made more stone earrings. I am loving the little trapeze hangers. I used them on the stone necklaces but it never occurred to me to scale them down for earrings. 

 

And then, of course are my haiku for the last few days. I ma closing in on this project and even joined a haiku community on Instagram where I have posted a couple of different ones using the prompts provided. 

 

 And I did finish a collage...

A Pile of Haiku and Stone Earrings

 I have four days of poetry to catch up. I love this one with my Monte....

And I love this one with Sadie. Her silly face always makes me laugh...

 

 

 

 After spending part of this beautiful day moping for no reason at all, I made some earrings. Now, I'm a little less mopey. 

Busy Day

 I wrote my haiku 74/100. I actually love this one...almost as munch as the dandelion one form yesterday.

 I finished my collage using one of my earlier haiku. Still wondering if it looks overworked.

Then, I took the Iron Man necklace out to the bench for some reworking as it failed it's test drive awhile back. 

And finally, I drilled some holes in the Alaskan river stones that I recently acquired. I should've put something in the photo for scale. They are about an inch to an inch and a half long.

Collage and Haiku

I finished one more house and decided to keep working on my collage. But I felt kind of blocked until I thought to use a few of my favorite haiku. Now, I'm in progress and starting to feel like I'm trying to hard. I just need to go in and start pasting.
