Washi Egg Season

I spent an afternoon making washi eggs with my friend, Judy. It's become an annual tradition since she was the one who taught me this wonderful art form. Our day of egg pasting always gets me started on a washi egg binge.

Judy is teaching this next week at a cool new wine bar. Here's the link, if your local...

More Catching Up

My Love Your Imperfect letters class has ended. The class sure delivered on it's promise...I am much more comfortable writing in an art journal. Here's the 30 Day Letters Challenge...complete:

I've also been keeping up with my 100 Days of Kindness Cards:

I did spend the afternoon today with my friend, Judy, making washi eggs . Tis the season!

Days 73/100 and 74/100 and Washi Eggs

Day 73/100...I am attempting to burn again.

Day 74/100 is more burning.  I'm finally getting the hang of it.

Also, I'm varnishing what I planned on being my last batch of washi eggs for the season. But, I did get some new papers, so, even though I promised to clear my egg supplies from the dining room, I may keep going. I do enjoy the process.

Earrings, Day 60/100, and Washi Eggs

Weather is getting warmer and I felt the urge, so I made earrings.

Day 60/100 is another Rite Aid bag. I do like that crispy white paper.

And, today, I had a washi egg playdate with my friend, Judy.

Lots of Haiku, Washi Eggs, and Parts

My last four haiku..

And in between my haiku writing, I spent an afternoon making washi eggs with my friend, Judy.

Today,  I decided I needed more soldering practice. I'm also patting myself on the back for finding eyelets long enough to go all the way through the rule pieces. I really should make myself familiar with all of my junk.

More Washi Egging

No, I haven't stopped yet. I ordered a few more papers and then I made another quiche, as I needed more shells to try the new papers...

Daily Washi Eggs

The last of my papers came today so I had to make a few more eggs. I wondered why I chose the poppy paper, and then once I had it on the egg, I loved it. I have stopped for the night.

Still on My Washi Eggs

I am still bingeing on washi eggs. I  finally made myself leave the table and managed to get dressed.

Eggs and Jewelry

I stopped making washi eggs long enough to take a walk, find a little stone, drill a hole in it, and make a necklace.

Washi Egg Night and Finsihed Flowers

Last night, we hung out with our friend, Judy, and made washi eggs. I haven't done this for awhile. Now, it's all I feel like doing. I was browsing through yuzen papers in bed last night. I really need to put the phone down and go to sleep sometimes.

Today, I made 16 more hooks and strung flowers. The flower strands are finished, packed, and ready to go to Pittsburgh for the wedding in June.

More Washi Eggs

I was going to to just one egg today. My first shell rolled off of the table and cracked. Then, I couldn't stop at just one...but I had to stop at two. I have plans to go visit baby goats today.

One Egg

Even though I wanted to keep going, I stopped with only one washi egg tonight. Don't want to use up all of my eggshells at once.  I need to look for some recipes that use a lot of eggs.

Better Late Than Never

I know Easter is behind us but I haven't made washi eggs in some time. I ran out of time before Easter, but I made a couple tonight. I had to make sure I hadn't forgotten how to do it. I still have to varnish them.

Earrings and Eggs

Kind of been a rough patch but after a fab trip to NYC, I must make "making" a priority again.

Since I scored some beautiful paper on my trip, I indulged in some washi egging.

Then, I headed to the garage for some earring making.
