Live Like Leonardo

 At the end of Walter Isaacson's book, Leonardo Da Vinci, there was a list. It was basically a "What would Leonardo Do?" way of looking at things. I loved the list and wanted to save it, so I made a little accordion book.

 

 

Birthday Card

I made a birthday card for a friend who will be 85. I printed the inside sentiment digitally, as Judy is a calligrapher and I am not...not the she would judge...or she might judge a little.

Wrapping Sticks

This is not my first time wrapping stuff around sticks. I wrapped a whole jar of little sticks around the last election, an effort to rein in my angst. But I was really dragging my feet on this one...probably because my studio room is a big mess. Anyway, I finally wrapped my few favorite sticks. Now, I want to go out hunting more sticks! I only wish it weren't 90° outside. Thanks, Roxanne, for the kick in the pants!

 I did one more box collage...I almost forgot about it. 

 

 

Birthday Card

Hanging onto the eyeball because it's so much fun to make, I made our grandniece a birthday card.

I'm having too much fun with these simple collages on 8" birch boxes. And I used my excess paint for a page of fodder.

 

A Bit of a Lull

Honestly, I feel out of sorts when I'm not making stuff regularly. So, today, after seeing a photo of a bunch of Dori Patrick's eyeballs,  I made one of my own. I actually felt so much better, even though it was Dori's project and it was so very simple and silly.

More Cats and Some Puppet Work

 I made two more cats. I have one panel left to attempt a dog. 

 And I am doing some puppet homework...painting an eagle...

 

Backtracking

After making a few more cards, instead of moving forward to the May Fodder School lessons, I fell back to March and Dori's face lessons. 

 

Guestbook Cover Redo

I was given a nondescript wedding-y guestbook and was asked (commanded) to decorate it for my uncle's upcoming surprise birthday party. I have been doing some major procrastinating, but today, I did it.

Puppets and Cards

Puppet work has resumed! These will be making their debut at the Memorial Day Parade in Perrysburg, Ohio before returning to Point Place for our parade.

And I was attempting to clear my work table but got distracted making cards from some good scraps. I'm hoping Beeker's General Store needs a few more.

I started three self portraits on three 11" by 14" stretched canvases. First one has been declared finished.

March Fodder School

Spent some time scraping paint around to create some "Reads as Solid" colored papers. Now I have to watch more Dori Patrick lessons for the really fun parts!
