Seed Packet
I picked some of my dried up coneflowers and after studying photos online to make sure I was saving the right part, I harvested seeds and made a packet for them. They're safely tucked away in my seed keeper journal.

Carving Stamps and Some Seed Packets
Yesterday, I headed to the basement to retrieve my old carving tools. Not only did I manage to locate them after at least two decades, but I found a decent sized scrap of linoleum. So I actually did some carving and stamping...the first steps in my November instructions for Fodder School. Since I had no interest in stamping leaves and flowers, I just kind of played with it. I used stamping ink and I used watery acrylic paint. I am loving the results. And I am also loving the fact that I can play with printmaking, abandoning some of the purist printmaking techniques that I learned and loved more than 20 years ago. I can do some printmaking without oil based inks, multiple solvents, and a press and still like the results.

Cucumbers...Not Pickles
After snagging an extra Garnet Hill catalog because the cucumber slices looks so beautiful and fresh on the cover, I came home from work and cut into them. (I had a nightmarish day at work and this nearly didn't happen.) But what started out as cool and refreshing ended up looking not so cool. The blue/silver background soured my cucumbers instead of chilling them! I ended up with "Where's Waldo Pickles"... I guess that's not so bad, if ... well...
Did I mention that work was hellish today?

More Leek Hats
So the leek can actually function as a thinking cap? I was completely without an idea tonight so I did some thinking with leeks.

Number 66....299 to Go!
Still trying to recover from this cold....feeling a bit better, less than 300 to go now! (I never thought I'd make it this far, and I still haven't resorted to counting something scribbled in my sketchbook as my thing for the day!)

Three Days, Three More...
Confession: I stole a magazine from a doctor's waiting room because it had a few bright fruity pages...I swear, I'll take it back at my next visit. So I had a few really fun fruit days (with just a little guilt).

54 and 55
I struggled to get started and struggled to finish yesterday's card. Today, I had a great time.

Two Days, Two More
On Valentine's day, I was pressed for time and decided to use whatever scraps and pictures were on my table...results...so so. Today, I was back to fruit. And I actually sent a few cards out last week. Maybe I'll send a few more this week.

Some More Street Art
I wasn't feeling inspired last night, and I still marched myself up to my work table and made a card. And today I took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather and made some street art (or as close as I've come to street art). This time, I ventured out of our yard to the corner and slapped one on the telephone pole. I felt like an outlaw! Bill was mortified, of course, so when he wasn't looking, I put one on our fence. Ha...he'll be complaining when he finds that!

The Bathroom Mirror
This little bathroom mirror project has been in the back of my mind for months and although I've thought about it a lot, I never lifted a finger to actually do it.
Today, I did it. It was much easier when I jumped into it as my "Make Something" project. I just sat down and worked until it was finished so that I could be free to waste the rest of the day. Amazing, as this was the sort of thing that would normally lay unfinished for months on my work table.

Seventeen Days in a Row
I'm still going the produce route.
I am starting to feel very possessive of each card, and I'm regretting the ones I've already mailed off into the world...hoarding behavior. So, tomorrow night, I promise I will address a few of these and let them go.
I had planned to work on something other than a postcard this weekend. I've had some ideas. But then I ran out of time. Also, I want to play around with an image transfer this week. I'm not sure I've ever tried it.

Too Fun
These fruit cards are making me really happy....
Oh, and I also made some delicious cream of asparagus soup today. That should actually count as something because it was a first and I'm not a highly skilled cook. It's beautiful and I am very tempted to post a photo of it!

Apples and Oranges
Two days, two fruity postcards.... this produce thing is too much fun. I may have to keep this going for a few days. Yesterday, I clipped the oranges from the front of a catalog I got in the mail. They just looked to juicy to send the recycling pile. And now, I can't stop thinking about other fruit and vegetable possibilities.
