Rainy Day Making

Today, as it rained most of the day, I had an excuse to hole up in the house. So I finished the tray for my favorite New Yorker.

It's very similar to my other NYC street art tray but I wanted to make one for my friend since he lives in the city and booked the street art tour for one of my visits.

Then, I watched a few more Fodder School videos and played with the dye spray techniques.

And although I planned on spending the rest of my day reading, I watched a few more lessons and once I made one faux postage stamp, I couldn't stop. Fake stamps are waaaay too much fun.

Works in Progress: Painting Furniture

I finished painting the stool and this small tray. Now, I am torn. I started to paint lime green dots on the top of the stool and then changed my mind. And I printed some images of NYC street art, photos I took on a tour of the street art of the lower east side, to decorate the tray.

Still up in the air on the stool.

More Stones

I couldn't help myself. So we are going on another stone drop tonight.

Later:  Okay,  stones have been left in discrete locations....well,  all except one.  Bill said it was okay if I kept one.  And,  also, I am still the one making my rules here.

Street Art for the Terminally Spineless

I did my things in the privacy and comfort of my home,  and then we went for a walk. I know...eventually I'll get brave enough to actually glue something in a public place....just not ready yet.  But dropping these stones in cozy little places and then imagining that someone would find them was too fun.

Some More Street Art

I wasn't feeling inspired last night,  and I still marched myself up to my work table and made a card.  And today I took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather and made some street art  (or as close as I've come to street art). This time,  I ventured out of our yard to the corner and slapped one on the telephone pole.  I felt like an outlaw!  Bill was mortified, of course, so when he wasn't looking,  I put one on our fence.    Ha...he'll be complaining when he finds that!

A Change for Day 20

Today, instead of making a postcard, I ventured out into the cold to create street art....sort of.  It's in our own yard,  so it doesn't really count as street art,  but it kind of felt like it.  I wasn't sure the glue would even dry in the cold.  You know,  if I were to put one on the telephone pole on the corner,  it would be street art...wouldn't it?
