Day 53/100 and Micro Fodder

Day 53/100. I used some of my April Fodder School supplies and techniques. 

 

 

 

Then, I watched two more lessons and created some micro fodder. This is just doodling while watching TV. 

Zentangle and Haiku

I knew I had my numbers mixed up. Here is Zentangle #35...

Felt Hearts, Haiku, and a Doodle

I started embroidering felt hearts yesterday and now I can't stop...

I stopped long enough to do Zentangle #33...I'm pretty sure I'm off on the numbers again.

Almost forgot my haiku...#8.

Haiku #6 and Zentangle #32

I was supposed to use a template for this one but I was too lazy to trace or scan or print, so I just drew my own mandala, which explains why it's off center and crooked. Oh well. 

And here is Haiku #6. I wrote it early this morning when I awoke with a headache and could not get back to sleep.

Here's my fifth haiku...

Haiku #4 and Zentangle #30

I did a Zentangle on black with a gold paint stick, and then another on white. 

I also wrote Haiku #4....and took the photo.

I love sitting and doodling, very relaxing, but I'll be glad to finish the Zentangle work shop as all of these numbered things are getting a little tiring.  

Haiku #3 and Zentangle #30

I wrote three different haiku today, and I'm actually really pleased with this one...

Yes, I made it into a picture.

Then, after shoveling snow from the entire driveway and deck, I Zentangled a bird. I'm pleased with this too.

Now, I'm heading out to the kitchen to rifle through the cabinets for more glasses to paint.

Two Doodles, Haiku#2 , and Painted Glass

Here are Zentangles 28 and 29, and my second haiku. I wish I were a calligrapher. 

And I wish it weren't so cold in the garage. I would love to work on some jewelry. 

I opened a package of paint from DecoArt this week and found a free sample...a glass paint marker. I had to try it, so I drew all over this glass, which was way too much fun. And now, I have to wait eight hours and then bake it...and stop myself from ordering a pile of these paint markers. Boy, they knew what they were doing at DecoArt when they threw that freebie into my order!

Zentangle #27 and Haiku #1

I decided to participate in the 100 Day Project and attempt to write a haiku every day. I have marveled at the simple beauty in haiku, but I'm really bad at writing them. So, maybe after 100,I'll get the hang of it. And it will force me to really examine simple things, to be more observant.

So here goes...and notice how Idrew some doodle-y crap on it to distract from the actual poem.

 

And here's my 27th Zentangle...I think I liked it better before I added color. 

Zentangles 25 and 26

I pulled out the watercolor tray for my Zentangles...as instructed. Now, I just feel like making Valentines.

 

Also today, after  snagging Bill's circa 1974 turquoise ring, which I love,  I starting thinking about making rings....maybe an online course?

I doodled my new patterns on a black tile tonight.

Tangle #23 and a Painted Birdhouse

Day 23 was supposed to look like batik. I followed the instructions and doodled with a white gel pen, and then added a watercolor wash. I am guessing the white ink was supposed to act as a resist. Mine did not. I even reread the instructions...I did it correctly.

Good thing I've been painting this birdhouse. At least I have something to show off.

Tangle #22 and Some Extras

There is something to be said for this Zentangling.  It feels good to let all of the angst go and just doodle...and, on Day 22, color.

Zentangle #21

I used this as an excuse to sit on the couch in my robe until noon..."I have to do my Zentangle." And now that I've gotten myself dressed, made bread dough, and started a load of laundry, I may just plop back down on the couch and do some more doodling.

I ruined one of my good tiles. I should've practiced two of the three new patterns in my sketchbook first.

Day 19 Zentangle

I bought some cheap "tiles" and I don't like the feel of them, the weight or the texture. But I guess I'll use them anyway. Here's Day 19. 

Day 18 Doodle

I did my 18th Zentangle on a cream colored tile. I also managed to get the size caps corrected on my Micron pens after mixing them up yesterday.

It was too cold and I was too comfortable in the house to go to the garage and make the last bell, so I just Zentangled. I couldn't resist adding some gold. 

Fourth Bell and 16th Zentangle

I apologize for the bad photo...it was so cold out there. But I did the fourth bell today. One to go. 

After dinner, I doodled.

Zentangle Practice and a Bell

I didn't doodle a tile but I did a page of practice in my sketchbook.  It really is calming when I can't seem to focus.

And then, I went out to the cold garage and did another bell. This is the third out of my five high school ceramic class clay bells. I've got two more to go.
